The Keeper of Thaal
The Keeper of Thaal (NE male human demilich Wizard 31) is the only known name for the demilich and presumably former Netherese arcanist who rules the legendary Tomb Tapper Tomb, or more formerly the Thaalud Vault.
Whether or not the Keeper of Thaal is the original creator of the Tomb Tappers (or Thaaluds in the original Netherese) is not known, however he does appear to be their ultimate master and all such constructs defer to his authority. The Keeper is also attended by a coterie of undead, including liches and ghosts, that it has created from the rare adventurers and seeker who found their way into his mysterious demiplane. The demiplane known as the Tomb Tapper Tomb is perhaps the largest repository of magical items, relics, and artifacts in the crystal sphere of Toril, and the Keeper of Thaal has a nearly infinite array of resources to call upon should he wish.
